FAQ
Have questions about our team? Find answers to common questions to stay informed and engaged with Cover313.
What age divisions does Cover 313 offer?
We offer three competitive youth football divisions: 10U, 12U, and 14U. Players are assigned to divisions based on their age eligibility for the season.
How is my child's age division determined?
We use January 1 as the annual age cutoff. A player's age on January 1 of the competition year determines their division for the entire season.
For example: a player who is 12 on January 1 and turns 13 later that year must play in the 14U division. A player who is 10 on January 1 and turns 11 later in the year is eligible for 12U.
Players must meet all applicable tournament age-verification requirements.
When does the season begin and end?
Our competitive 7v7 season runs from January through May. Team tryouts and roster selections take place before the season begins.
How much does it cost to join a Cover 313 team?
The player registration fee is $250 for the season. Our mission is to keep competitive travel football affordable for families throughout Metro Detroit. Any additional expenses will be communicated before registration is finalized.
Are travel fees included in the registration fee?
No. Transportation, lodging, meals, and other personal travel expenses are the responsibility of each player's family unless otherwise communicated. We work to reduce costs through fundraising and sponsorship opportunities.
Is 7v7 tackle football?
No. Seven-on-seven football is a non-tackle format focused on passing, receiving, route running, defensive coverage, and football IQ. Headgear is required for some tournaments.
What positions can my child play?
Our program develops quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs, linebackers, defensive backs, and other skill-position athletes. Coaches evaluate players and determine positions based on team needs and individual strengths.
